Itinerary

Day 1: Santiago

After disembarkation in Valparaiso, your Post-programme tour starts with a transfer including a Valparaiso city tour to your hotel in Santiago de Chile. The rest of the day at leisure, overnight including breakfast.

Day 2: Santiago/Easter Island

Morning transfer from your hotel to the airport and flight to Easter Island, followed by short transfer to your accommodation for the next three nights. Enjoy lunch at the hotel, before starting to explore Easter Island during your first included excursion. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3-4: Easter Island

Take the opportunity to relax at the hotel or choose from a variety of local trips visiting interesting sights in the area, following the past of Rapa Nui. Discover the archeological complex Te Pito Kura, also called The Navel of the World where a large, perfectly circular stone is said to be the epicenter of the planet´s energy. Spend some time at Anakena, the main beach of Easter Island and where the first king of the island landed with his men. See the Seven Explorers, beautifully preserved Moais, and discover how the ancient islanders connected with celestial and astronomical events. Don´t miss seeing the Moais during sunrise or sunset. The island also offers bicycle tours at your own pace or a guided hike to the volcano that formed the island millions of years ago.

Lunch and dinner at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 5: Easter Island/Santiago de Chile

Transfer from your hotel to the airport and flight back to Santiago de Chile for the end of your Post-programme.

Please note that due to changing conditions, the order of sights may vary.

Practical information

The price includes one hotel night in Santiago de Chile incl. breakfast, three hotel nights on Easter Island at Hotel Nayara Hangaroa or similar, including full board and beverages (except premium drinks), return flight Santiago de Chile-Easter Island, including current taxes and airport transfers, daily two half day excursions with English-speaking guide offered by the hotel,  entrance fee to National Park. All excursions are subject to weather conditions.

Not included: Meals and drinks on day 1, gratuities.

  • This tour is available as a Post-programme in combination with voyages ending in Valparaiso.
  • Includes walking on uneven terrain.
  • This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
  • The excursions included in this tour are operated by the hotel and might not be exclusive to Hurtigruten guests.

  • If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip until 6 weeks before departure.
  • Depending on your flight departure from Santiago de Chile an overnight might have to be added after the tour.
