Whale haven
Skjálfandi Bay is one of the best places in the world for whale watching. In fact, whales are often encountered within 20 minutes of leaving the harbour – sometimes surfacing alongside our boats. The whales you’ll see here are mostly minke or humpback, with more species arriving in the summer months. Dolphins and harbour porpoises also love these plankton-rich waters.
