Lysekil - Mussel and oyster safari tour

This oyster and mussel trip in Lysekil is an adventure with the scent of seaweed and freshly made seafood. During this tour, you will get the opportunity to pick your own mussels and oysters. The group will prepare and cook these delicacies for a delicious meal served out on a beautiful cliff in the Bohulslän archipelago. 

Begin your exciting day by meeting your tour leader at the pier, together you will have a relaxing walk through the town towards the awaiting fishing boat Signe.  

This charming boat takes on a scenic boat ride out to the mussel farm where Lysekil's Oysters & Mussels staff welcome you. Here you will learn how the mussels live and the best way to pick up the mussels.  

The boat ride continues to one of the few oyster banks in Bohuslän, where the exclusive oysters Ostrea Edulis grows, which is the original European species. In the west coast they are called the “Swedish oyster”. Here you will help to harvest the oysters and learn more about this delicacy.  

After it’s time for a delicious lunch at at Käringeholmen where you will cook the mussels and open up the oysters. After an unforgettable experience, Signe takes you back to Norra Hamnen in Lysekil.
