Join your guide at St Mary’s quay before departing on foot through Hugh Town, the capital of the Isles of Scilly, to the beautiful sandy beach and turquoise waters of Porthcressa Bay. Continue with a climb up Buzza Hill to admire the Bronze Age burial chamber and enjoy wonderful views over Hugh Town to Samson, Bryher and Tresco. See the 19th century windmill tower before continuing towards Peninnis Head, taking in the ruins of the 18th century Peninnis Mill and glorious vista over the Western Rocks to the Bishop Rock lighthouse, the last outpost of the British Isles.

As you arrive at Peninnis Head, the southernmost point of St Mary’s and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, discover how the natural granite outcrops have naturally eroded into spectacular and unusual shapes. See Peninnis lighthouse on the tip of the headland and views to St. Agnes, Gugh and the seabird sanctuary of Annet.

It’s then time to retrace your steps, passing the holiday home of former Prime Minister Harold Wilson and enjoying views of the harbor and the Old Quay, built in 1601, as you return to the quay for your tender back to the ship.
