Meet the team: MS Trollfjord
Get to know your Coastal Experience Team on board the flagship for The Svalbard Line and The North Cape Line. Their passion, expertise, and love for the Norwegian coast will ensure your voyage is a memorable one.
Ina
Expedition Leader
Since 1999, Ina has sailed all over the Arctic and Antarctic with Hurtigruten, but there is always something that brings her back to Norway.
“The nature and landscapes are so unique. Around every corner you find new breathtaking scenery. I love to give our guests a taste of typical Norway when we are out in nature, maybe by telling a story or by giving them something local to taste.”
Linus
Assistant Expedition Leader
Part Swedish, part German, Linus has spent much of his career in tourism. He first came across Hurtigruten while working as a tour guide in Tromsø, a city that now lies close to his heart.
“Working with Hurtigruten ensures new adventures every day. The seasons, weather, passengers, and ports are constantly changing, so no two journeys are the same. It’s very rewarding to see our guests discover new places and have great experiences on their voyage.”
Hege
Nature & Culture Guide
Originally from Trondheim, Hege’s spirit of adventure led to 20 years living in Greece. And then to the Coastal Experience Team when she moved back to the Norwegian coast.
“I‘ve worked aboard Hurtigruten since 2017 and can’t imagine any other job! I have family in northern Norway and like to tell stories about them in my lectures. I also enjoy mountain walks and love to forage for berries and mushrooms – but only the edible ones!”
Román
Nature & Culture Guide
Born in Barcelona, Román’s passion for the ocean and the mountains led him to a career in nature. He moved to Norway in 2014, working as a ‘friluftsliv’ guide in Voss, Kirkenes, and Reine, before training to become an Arctic nature guide in Svalbard and consequently joining Hurtigruten.
“Connecting people with nature is my vocation. I love being outdoors, especially when it involves ski-mountaineering, surfing, or sea kayaking.”
Ada
Nature & Culture Guide
A trained lawyer, Ada discovered she could combine her love for travel with volunteering at sea. After stints in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, she embarked on a beach clean-up along the Helgeland coast, where she fell head over heels for Norway.
“Post-Covid, I decided to set sail once again as part of the Coastal Experience Team. After all, is there anything more beautiful that one can do than to share their knowledge and passion with others?”
