Launching April 2016: Cultural Sailings – trailing the tracks of Edvard Grieg
Hurtigruten has the pleasure to invite you to unique sailings during April and May 2016 and experience Norwegian culture at its best.
The festivities set along this sailing journey are in the spirit of Norway’s national pride, composer Edvard Grieg. Sailing along the coast you may take part in exciting cultural activities, both on board the ships and onshore. Some of our concerts will be set in unusual localities and surroundings. For example, opera arias will be performed in an industrial mining cave, up in the mountains. Possibly the most spectacular performance during this sailing journey, a concert performed in an old fish-oil factory tank.
Hurtigruten is extremely proud to present musicians and soloists representing a high artistic level. The musicians are selected in cooperation with national, regional and cultural institutions.
