Arrival and departure information for The Svalbard Line

The Jektevik Terminal will be open from 09:30 to 13:30 for check-in.

At the port, you will find Hurtigruten’s dedicated guest lounge on the second floor of the terminal building. Here, you can enjoy light refreshments and free Wi-Fi.

Before boarding, all guests must attend a safety briefing in the lecture hall of Hurtigruten’s guest lounge.

Once you have checked in on board the ship, lunch will be served in the main restaurant, Flora, between 11:30 and 14:00.

Your cabin will be ready for you at 14:00. We will depart at 14:30.

Transfer from the airport to Bergen city centre

If you have booked an arrival package with Hurtigruten, below you can find a brief description of transfer and hotel information. 

After arriving to the Bergen Airport, grab your luggage and check the boards before exiting the airport to see the transfer information. Head outside, at platform A3 take the white and teal coloured bus labelled Flybussen, supplied by the company Tide. Flybussen is the official airport shuttle buses and are public buses. If pre-booked, you will have a voucher included in your travel documents which you can show to the driver to board the bus. The buses leave the airport one to three times per hour, depending on the time of day. Please note that only on the day prior to embarkation there will be representatives present at the airport. 

The Flybussen shuttle will make several stops on its route and has set public bus stops. If you have booked a hotel stay, you will find in the overview below the bus stop closest to your hotel. All the hotels we offer are only a few minutes' walk from the bus stops. 

If you are going directly to the Hurtigruten ship, please get off at the last bus stop, the Jekteviksterminal. 

The shuttle will stop at the Jektevik Terminal, which is the Hurtigruten terminal in Bergen. For more information about the embarkation process and terminal opening times, please see the above section titled “Embarkation in Bergen”.

If you arrive to Bergen the day before embarkation, there will be a Welcome Desk available at the Home Hotel Bryggen between 17:00-19:00 and at the Clarion Hotel Admiral between 19:00-21:00. We recommend to stop by to pick up your luggage tags and, if you have booked transfers, get information on the transfers on embarkation day.

If you have a hotel night in Bergen prior to embarking MS Trollfjord, head to the closest Flybussen stop and show the driver your voucher to go to the Jektevik Terminal. Please note that the bus may make several stops before arriving to the Terminal.
