Embark on a boat trip in the spectacular Hjørundfjord
Visit one of the oldest authentic farms in the region
Enjoy a delicious lunch made with local ingredients
We start with a boat ride across the fjord to the small village of Viddal, where our bus will be waiting. After a short drive we arrive at Bjørke, a pretty village located at the tip of the Hjørundfjord. Here we find Bakketunet, a beautifully preserved 16th-century farm home to a complete set of authentic farm buildings. This is an extremely rare find in Norway. There will of course be a guided tour, but also art exhibitions and culinary surprises.
After lunch, we continue to the wild and narrow Norangsdalen Valley, making several photo stops along the way at various shielings (old farms). At Øye, we reach the other branch of the Hjørundfjord, the Norangsfjord, and from here we drive out to Lekneset to catch the ferry back to Sæbø.
