This tour offers an initial overview of the history and layout of the city. It takes you through the charming streets of Bergen, focusing on the downtown area surrounding the bustling harbor, the town square, the theater, the beautiful city park and adjoining art museums, and of course the historic areas of Bergenhus Fortress and Bryggen. We will take a closer look at the old wharf, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we will visit the old Schøtstuene Assembly Rooms. Taking a walk around town is the best way to take in the ambiance of Bergen. The city center is compact and full of attractions. The city’s highlights and colorful history are presented to you as we walk at a leisurely pace.
