Tromsø – where nature and culture go hand in hand

Tromsø is located 350 km north of the Arctic Circle and is the largest city in Northern Norway. In the early 1900s Tromsø was the starting point for expeditions to the Arctic. Hence its nickname: “Gateway to the Arctic. Today it is a modern city with many activities on offer, from an aquarium and several quality museums to the world’s northernmost botanical garden.
