The vegan evolution
We weren’t content just to incorporate a few vegan dishes here and there. Instead, we collaborated with vegan chef and Norway’s most popular vegan blogger Mari Hult to create an entirely separate menu.
There’s no doubt about it. Veganism is here and it’s here to stay. For many, it is the next step in the evolution and future of food. Most importantly, it is an approach to our appetites that doesn’t damage the beautiful world we live in.
We are as passionate as you are about eating healthily and sustainably, without sacrificing flavour. While others have just added a few token vegan dishes to their menus, we’ve set about creating a whole new way of green eating for our Norway’s Coastal Kitchen.
Expert input
In designing our vegan menu, we wanted to make sure that all the dishes on our vegan menu didn’t just look and taste great, but that they were good for you too. Our culinary taskforce therefore consulted with accredited nutritionists to select the right ingredients.
We also reached out to Mari Hult, a vegan chef from the coastal city of Stavanger and author of vegetarbloggen.no – the most widely read vegetarian and vegan blog in Norway. Her invaluable advice helped to elevate our range of vegan dishes to another standard.
Green and gourmet
The resulting vegan menu has been designed to give you a different and delicious three-course fully vegan menu every night of our signature 12-day Classic Round Voyage.
Expect mouth-watering dishes like borlotti bean casserole, vegan pancakes, oven-baked pears, beetroot à la Bourguignon, strawberry sorbet, and vegan chocolate mousse.

The final verdict
Mari Hult herself had this to say: “Vegan food is sustainable, animal- friendly, good for your health and, when it’s prepared the way that Norway’s Coastal Kitchen does it here, it’s incredibly tasty too!
I am so pleased and proud that one of Norway’s biggest brands, with one of the best kitchens we have, has been so thorough in offering this fantastic menu - one that’s not just for vegans but for anyone who wants to try a greener way of eating.
It has been a pleasure to witness the process that the chefs have followed, and I wish it was me who was sitting down to eat on the world’s most beautiful cruise right now!”
