Sensational seasons

With departure dates spanning Norway’s four seasons, your hardest decision is choosing when to go. Spring in April and May offers the best of both sun and snow. Summer is when the Midnight Sun reigns supreme, conjuring long hazy days amidst serene fjords.

By September, an autumnal crispness is in the air as the colours of the coast change. The dancing ribbons of the Northern Lights lay claim to the skies in winter, mesmerising all who witness them.

Discover Norway’s Coastal Kitchen

Your ship has three restaurants, each named after a historic place or person connected to Norwegian exploration heritage. The food concept on board is the same as the rest of the Hurtigruten fleet: local flavours, local ingredients, local talent.

You’ll find your ship is a floating pantry and kitchen that picks from the best produce the bountiful Norwegian coast has to offer. Each region has its own speciality and so does each season. Your eyes and your tastebuds will savour Norwegian cuisine how it’s meant to be experienced.

Your home at sea

We’re proud to introduce you to MS Otto Sverdrup, your home for these voyages. The ship runs on hybrid-powered engines which cut NOx and CO2 emissions, and is equipped with shore-power connectivity for zero emissions whenever docked in ports that support shore power.

Named after a 19th-century Norwegian polar explorer who was a contemporary of other greats like Roald Amundsen and Fridtjof Nansen, MS Otto Sverdrup boasts a heated outdoor pool, outdoor hot tubs, and a spa that offers various massages and treatments.
