Walk through history, exploring the old town Tinganes, the 9th century meeting site of the Vikings; colorful old warehouses, now fashionable offices; the 18th century Lutheran cathedral, and small turf-roofed homes, reflecting an earlier age. When you enter the old town you will find yourself in a confusion of lanes and narrow passages, steps and rocks and tiny black-tarred houses – a genuine and unique town from the Middle Ages.
