Atacama Coastal Walk

This is a walking tour heading up to sandy hills. Most of the walk is done on the sidewalls of these sandy mountains, walking through some caves, caverns and other spectacular sites.

We will depart from the pier to head towards El Laucho and La Lisera famous beach resorts. This will be a slow drive to allow us to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful views. Upon arrival to El Morro de Arica viewpoint, we will disembark to enjoy of a panoramic view of the city, ocean and port. The Morro de Arica was an important place that the Chilean military used to its advantage during the Pacific War. We will continue on the coastal road towards south to reach Corazones/Anzata. 

This is a walking tour heading up to sandy hills. Most of the walk is done on the sidewalls of these sandy mountains, walking through some caves, caverns and other spectacular sites. This trekking will lead us to the Puntilla, where sea lions may be seen from short distance as well as many local birds. After spending some time at this point to relax, we will get good pictures and breathe this ocean air, walk back to the buses to return to the pier. 

There is an optional drop off point at the main entrance of the port area.
