Dog sledding Wilderness Adventure Camp Finnsnes Tromso Norway HGR 15830
  • Feel the thrill as you learn to drive a dog sled across the icy wilderness

  • Visit the famous Tromsø Ice Domes and enjoy a drink at the ice bar

  • Admire winter landscapes from forests and fjords to snow-covered mountains

  • Get acquainted with the local herd of reindeer

With dog sledding, ice domes and majestic reindeer, this tour is the ultimate Tromsø bucket list.

You’ll travel to the wilderness centre at Camp Tamok, set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley. When you arrive, you’ll change into your provided gear and get a demonstration on how to steer a dog sled. In a team of two, you’ll then drive the sled as the huskies pull you along the frozen landscape.

After dog sledding, you’ll visit the famous Tromsø Ice Domes that house an ice bar, ice cinema, ice suites and ice restaurant. With themes ranging from Sami culture to Northern Lights, the domes boast beautifully coloured lighting and wonderful ice sculptures. You’ll take a guided tour and learn about the construction process of these magnificent buildings, as well as enjoy a complimentary, non-alcoholic shot at the ice bar and a warming, hot lunch.

Finally, we’ll introduce you to the centre’s own herd of reindeer.
