Known as one of the world’s most beautiful drives, the Atlantic Ocean Road is an engineering marvel that zigzags across bridges, from island to island, along the ocean’s edge. This guided coach tour will give you the chance to leave the ship and explore the coast by land.

On this excursion, board your coach bus in Molde, the administrative centre of the county of Romsdal. The city is located on the shores of the Romsdal fjord, surrounded by hills that provide a backdrop of 222 peaks covered in snow almost all year round.

Along the way to the Atlantic Ocean Road and the city of Kristiansund, where you will rejoin the ship, you will make a variety of photo and rest stops. Take in the scenery along the Atlantic Coast. Pehaps you’ll enjoy a sunny and tranquil day—or, witness the dramatic foam sprays of a typical storm.

This unique stretch of road, part of the country’s network of National Tourist Routes, was voted Norway’s “Engineering Feat of the Century” in 2005. It covers 8.2 kilometers, crosses a total of eight bridges, and winds through Norway’s stunning coastal landscape.

End the trip in Kristiansunda small city that stretches over 3 interconnected islands. Here, you will rejoin your ship.
