Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live your life beneath the Midnight Sun and the Polar Night? How do people survive the harsh Arctic winters? And what do they do in their free time? This tour is your opportunity to find out more about the culture and lifestyles of the north, straight from the people who love to live here.

We travel to the tiny and beautiful island of Sommarøy where you’ll be welcomed into the town’s huseflid (craftmanship building). You’ll learn the basics of knitting as you chat with locals over waffles and coffee. There are hundreds of handcrafted items on display here, each one made locally.

Next, a local will welcome you into their home with coffee and lefse (Norwegian pastries). Pull up a seat for some storytelling and delve even deeper into the lives of folk north of the Arctic Circle.
