Esbjerg is a blend of historic charm and modern Scandinavian chic. It’s easy to get around on foot, and a shuttle bus will take you into the centre so you can explore at leisure. En route you can choose to make a stop at the city’s landmark, the 9-meter sculpture “Man Meets the Sea” which gazes out over the horizon. The sculptures were installed in 1995 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the municipality.
