On this tour, get to know Alta, a city known for opportunities to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
You'll immediately notice the Northern Lights Cathedral – a sculptural spiral that starts at the base and swirls skywards – made of shimmering titanium. Its interior has a stark look – raw concrete, wood, light strips surrounding the altar, and a bronze sculpture of Jesus.
After a guided tour of the church, visit the Borealis Alta interactive exhibition where you can learn more about the Aurora.
After a short guided tour of the church, you will make your way through the BorealisAlta interactive exhibition, which weaves together the story of the Northern Lights – from the magic to the scientific truth. Explore at your own pace and in as much detail as you like.
