Exclusively for guests on Platinum fare, this exciting boat ride brings you on a tour of the coastline between the scenic island chains of Vesterålen and Lofoten.
Feel the wind in your hair and the spray on your face as we speed through the water, passing the dramatic scenery of Raftsundet on our way to Trollfjord. This relatively small fjord is just 2.5 kilometres long and 100 metres wide at its entrance. Its steep-sided mountains make for a dramatic setting, as well as a common place to spot sea eagles. Here, you’ll learn about the Battle of Trollfjord in 1890 between traditional open-boat fishermen and privately-owned steam-driven trawlers.
From Trollfjord, we’ll continue to the island of Skrova before later arriving in Svolvær. Skrova has two nicknames: ‘Photo Island’ because of the permanent outdoor photo exhibitions found throughout the island; and ‘Hawaii Island’ because of its sunny clime and impressive scenery.
