Notices
Entrance to the North Cape and transport back to the ship is included
In Havøysund, we’ll board a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) and travel speedily along the coast, always eager to spot resident seabirds nesting in the high cliffs. Along the way, our guides will talk in depth about the local landscape and culture.
Soon, the impressive North Cape promontory and plateau will come into view. From this angle down at the water, you’ll be able to grasp the size of this mountain that stands over 300 metres above sea level.
Coming ashore in Hornvika, we make our way to Skarsvåg, thought to be the continent’s most northerly fishing village. From there, we take a short hike to Kirkeporten. This distinctive natural arch resembles a church door and beautifully frames the North Cape and ‘Hornet’ rock formation in the distance.
After enjoying a light snack, a bus will take us up to the North Cape where you can stand on the precipice of the European continent and soak in the breathtaking views.
