Mountains and waterfalls   

On this scenic drive, you’ll explore the most beautiful area of the Westfjords district, Arnarfjörður. Admire the 3274 ft mountain Kaldbakur and see the stunning Dynjandi waterfall. A path takes you up to the central gorge, where you can touch the waterfall, then soak your feet in a natural hot spring before visiting the Icelandic Sea Monster Museum to hear some thrilling local folktales.

  • Walking information: Mainly on paved flat surfaces, some incline and a few steps around the village.  Walking approx. 1.5km; drive time approx. 3 hrs
