Tour will offer the opportunity to join Caminhos de Santiago – “Portuguese Way of the Coast” and visit authentic fishing villages and archaeological sites. This seafront path acquired its importance since the 15th century and serves coastal population and those who disembark in sea ports. During approximately 3 hours/13 km enjoy the marvelous views to Atlantic ocean and learn about local history. Located in  Leça da Palmeira are “Piscina das Mares”  a natural swimming pool created by Siza Vieira, one of the most proeminent Portuguese Architect and  Boa nova lighthouse, the 2nd tallest of the country. Another highlight will be Angeiras fishing village, where you will visit the local market (closed on Mondays) and Tanque de Salga Romanos, an important archaeological site, used in Roman times for salting fish and/or product different types of canned fish. Continue to Castro de S. Paio located in a small village from Iron Age. Pause for a picnic/refreshments, before the drive transfer to pier.
