The best way to really get to know this charming little town is by starting your day with a private guided walking tour.

Meet your local guide at the pier and begin your guided walking tour towards the charming little village. Listen to the interesting history of Lysekil as first being settled as a fishing village back in the 1560s. Learn more about why this part of southwestern Sweden has for ages been associated with the sea. Stroll through the cozy streets with cobblestones and embrace the beautiful surroundings.

Continue your walk up to Lysekils church, built in 1901, whose granite was carved by hand and winched into place. The tower alone is 206 feet high, and the spire rises more than 300 feet above sea level. This stop is the perfect opportunity for a photo stop as the view from the church is magnificent.

You can choose to end your tour with a stroll in the city on your own. Or, if you prefer, you can walk back to the pier together with the guide.
