Start this walking tour with a visit to a bronze statue, in natural size, placed in the gardens of the Casino Park Resort Hotel, aiming to make the passage of the Empress of Austria to Madeira Island even better known, as well as to perpetuate her memory. Proceed towards Santa Catarina Park which offers a lovely view over the bay of Funchal, green spaces, a cafe, several paths provided with benches and flanked by many species of the world's flora and a lovely lake with a small island where swans and ducks thrive . Visit Blandy's Madeira Wine Lodge for a taste of our famous wine. Next stop will be outside the Cathedral of Funchal, classified as a National Monument since 1910, it is the main religious temple of the Archipelago. Proceed towards the market, nowadays this space still performs the functions for which it was created, selling products of all kinds in it, in an environment where colors, sounds, smells and different people are mixed.

Last visit is Santa Maria street in the old part of the city known for its narrow cobbled streets and the facades of old houses and is considered a historic area of ​​great architectural and heritage value.
