Board a coach at Amsterdam cruise terminal and travel through typical Dutch countryside to the village of Zaandam. Your guide will lead you on an informative tour through the authentically recreated town of Zaanse Schans.
Carefully designed to replicate the Zaan community from about 1700, this ‘open air' museum is a popular attraction. Strolling through the cobblestone streets watching craftsmen practice trades of the past, you get a glimpse of what Dutch life was once like.
During your free time, you can experience the established Dutch art of clog-making at a wooden shoe factory. You also get the chance to buy some local products or a special souvenir as a memento of your visit.
Then, drive through the lush lowlands to the town of Edam. You’ll enjoy an interesting walking tour of this tranquil 17th-century town, best known for its distinctive Edam cheese. Picturesque canals, traditional drawbridges and charming homes with overflowing flower gardens make this a delightful visit.
After visiting Edam, we stop at a local cheese-making farm where you can taste delicious product samples before returning to your ship by coach.
