Travel along the southern coast of Costa Rica and discover a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit Finca 6, one of only four archaeological sites that hosts unique and mysterious stone spheres in ancient structures from the pre-Columbian period (500-1500 CE).
The distinctive and rare Diquís stone spheres range is size up to 2.57m in diameter, are a topic of great speculation – their arrangement suggests that the spheres aligned with the stars or perhaps they served as monumental compasses. Local lore has it that they were the playthings of a god who was hell-bent on controlling the weather.
