Bahia Solano Town Walk

Disembarking at the town pier guests walk the short distance into the town – approx. 10mins. (There are 2x 8 seat minivans for guests who are unable to walk far)

The guests will divide into different groups, each with their own guide, for a relaxed walk through the community, wandering the streets with an array of different shops and businesses, visiting the local secondary school, the main church, the primary school with a visit to the small fishing port where there will be a small display of the locally caught fish, which are flown out daily to the main cities of Colombia and the fishermen will make a presentation.

The tour will end on the “malecón” or seafront, with a performance of Afro Pacific Colombian dance, and an artisan market where handicrafts will be available for sale.

Guests are divided into groups of 15-20 per guide and each group operates a slightly different rotation of the tour route but all end up at the Malecón.

  • Walking information: The terrain in the town is flat and guests can explore at leisure and at their own pace. Streets are generally unsurfaced and become slippery in the rain. There is not a lot of walking involved and guests can explore at leisure on at own pace or easily return to pier. Colombia 57 staff are on hand to assist guests and provide transport if required. Approx 2KM is the total walking of the complete circuit
