Learn how women got together in the small village of Comasagua, where jobs opportunity were limited for mostly men. They created postcards from dying flowers from the surroundings forest, this unique art has now been exported to many countries. The project has created job opportunities for woman and more income to the families and the town itself. Comasagua turned from a basic village to a local touristic destination, and now visitors local and international, visit the town to see this project or enjoy any of the other touristic developments which include panoramic restaurants and walking adventures in the forest.   You will meet the woman and their project and have the chance to create your own souvenir.

After you will hear a young people orchestra of Acajutla.  This project was started with four guitars as an after school program.  The idea was to give young people the chance to use their free time in other activities and learn something new, the program turned very popular and more kids wanted to join.  The local government made special arrangements and hired a music teacher, prepared space for the practices and bought more instruments.  Now these young people play at special events all around the country. They will play for you, local and international pieces.
