    Appropriate warm, waterproof clothing depending on weather for the day. Comfortable/sturdy walking shoes/boots with a thick tread and ankle support. Walking poles may be helpful. (Bottle of water).

Join a motor coach at the pier and travel across the Fairy Bridge. After a comfort break in Castletown visit Chapel Hill Balladoole and follow part of the ‘Raad ny Foillan’ – the Way of the Gull – the Isle of Man’s long distance coastal footpath around Scarlett Head to see coastal birds, plants, limestone outcrops and volcanic rocks and back to Castletown.

The exposed southern coast here is full of historic sites. Walking distance is approx. 6 km/ 4 miles and involves crossing several stiles with wooden steps as well as walking on a mix of coastal grassland and farm tracks that can be slippery and muddy when wet. This excursion is not wheelchair accessible and it is not recommended for guest with any walking difficulties.
