Depart Douglas by motor coach and travel South to the folk village of Cregneash, isolated from the rest of the Island it was one of the last strongholds of the traditional skills and customs.

Explore the town and view original and well preserved buildings before we make the short transfer to Port Erin Railway station to board the Victorian steam train for the return journey to Douglas on a railway that is over 125 years old. From the station, return by motor coach or take the short 600 m/ 0,4 miles walk back to the ship’s dock.

Please note that the tour can also be operated in reverse. Most of the walking is up to guests’ dis- cretion and the train is wheelchair accessible with advance notice.

  • Walking information: Approx. 400m at Cregneash, please note the path from coach park to the village is a natural path of grass and soil. Whilst mostly even, care should be taken especially in damp conditions.
