This walk starts up from the jetty seeing the islands main street as you pass with its quaint cottages before turning South.  

Begin from the jetty and stroll through the main street, passing quaint cottages before turning South. Enjoy the islands stunning scenery, flora and fauna. Pass the war memorial and converted church and head westward onto common grazing land that doubles up as the islands golf course. Be aware of golfers and stray golf balls! Once this is crossed there are wonderful sandy beaches with stunning views over the bay of the cliffs in the distance. Crossing the moor and down into the southern shores of Iona to the beach where St Columba is said to have first landed on Iona from his journey from Ireland. Take time to learn more about St Columba and enjoy the peace and tranquillity before returning to the jetty.
