A birder’s paradise
About halfway between Orkney and Shetland, Fair Isle is best known for the intricate knitting patterns that originate there, and for having the most bird species recorded in all of Britain. A guide will take you to the bird cliffs to see some of the island’s 345 species of birds, including rare migrants and colonies of seabirds. Continue your walk to a nearby lighthouse before returning to the ship.
