Your Kodiak adventure begins in the harbour, where many king crab boats from the famous TV series, ‘Deadliest Catch’, moor before heading out into the Bering Sea. Your boat continues past beautiful nearby bird rookeries, where you can view hundreds of tufted and horned puffins and kittiwakes nesting on sheer, windswept cliffs. Look up and you may see majestic bald eagles nesting in the tops of tall Sitka spruce trees. As we pass smaller islands, you’ll see gunneries from World War II on the cliff sides. As our journey continues, you’ll see an abundance of marine wildlife, including sea otters, sea lions, porpoise, and various species of whales including humpback, orca, and minke.
