Put on your hiking boots and experience a day of world-class hiking.

Your private group is led by a certified and experienced interpretive guide, who is ready to share the lay of the land with eager hikers.

Your experience begins at the pier where you join your guide and board a vehicle for an interpretive tour through Juneau's historic downtown district. Have your camera ready as you find yourself surrounded by the towering mountains of Perseverance Valley on our way to the trail head.

Hike like an Alaskan on this local favourite trail as your guide leads you along Alaska’s first road, now a historically designated trail. You will hike deep into a secluded alpine valley and along a rushing mountain stream.

Experience cascading waterfalls, serene meadows and quiet forest glens that can only be reached on foot.  Along the way, your naturalist guide shares knowledge and perspective on both the region's natural history and mining history.  During much of the hike, the views are panoramic, encompassing expanses of glacier-carved wilderness.

This half-day hike provides you a better appreciation and understanding of both Juneau’s past and present.  There are many photo opportunities along the trail, as well as frequent interpretive stops.
