How to use a campaign landing page

Page purpose

  • KPI

This page is a landing page, the main KPI is the bounce rate. An additional KPI is the time spent on page. It shouldn't be too long.

  • Customer journey phase

We want people to go down the booking funnel: they are in the interest phase, we want them to click further and arrive in the consideration phase.

  • CTA

Examples of CTA to a consideration page can be related voyages, offers, destinations.

  • Does

This page is about navigation and is primarily made for CRM. Use this page if the end goal is for the user to visit the linked content. You can add more than 1 CTA. You can use media to inspire and create a breath-taking landing page. Use anchors to allow CRM to link to a specific section.

Exit strategy

  • People who are not ready to go down the funnel and are ready to exit the page should have an alternative. Examples of Exit CTA can be a Newsletter signup module and links to relevant topics at the interest level.

  • Don'ts

Do not use text as the primary content type. People shouldn't spend time reading, they should spend time navigating. Use an ARTICLE page if the page is about 1 topic with no substantial further reading.

Information block

This block works like a Rich Text block on Article pages where you can add anchors, tables, hyperlinks and format text. It also supports a media file.

Example:

Fighting mass tourism

Exploring some of the most spectacular wilderness areas of our planet – and visiting the cultures that call them home – is an important part of every Hurtigruten Expedition Cruise. This obligates us to operate with the utmost respect and sensitivity. We’ve taken the lead in preventing degradation by mass tourism, respecting indigenous communities, and providing experiences where the only trace we leave behind is the positive impression made on all our explorers.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

  1. The best way to support local businesses is to spend money with them.
  2. Tell your friends and family about your favourite local businesses.
  3. Follow and support local businesses on social media and leave positive reviews.

Offer list block

This block is similiar to an offer card block on Article pages.

Note to developers: tags are not on brand and count-down show strange.

Article Grid block

This block can be used on Article pages too. It doesn't support anchors so you need to create an information block above.

Preview Content Container block

This block supports anchors and can be used on Article pages too.

Preview Content Container

Without featured blocks

Usage 1:

This block allows you to preview an article and add a CTA to link to the actual article. The work is actually done on the article itself, under the 'Preview content tab'  but you can overide it here.

Usage 2:

The CTA is optional: you can also use this block to show an image or a videowith a text field on the side that can be styled (Bullet points, hyperlinks...).

To add a video, create a Youtube or Vimeo block and drag it to the Media area. Simply dragging an uploaded video won't work.

Keep the text short to fit the media size.

Preview Content Container Block

With featured blocks

The CTA will show at the end of all the featured blocks as a blue button. If there aren't any featured blocks, the CTA will be under the main text as a black button.

If you put several Preview Container blocks, the image and text position will alternate left and right.

Usage 3:

You can feature an "Expedition Team Member" block. It will always appear first.

Usage 4:

You can also feature an "article preview grouping" block.

This allows you to add a picture and a text, that you can format as a "quote" by ticking a box.

Frequently asked questions block

This block is high maintenance as it requires to add a lot of sub-blocks with their own headers. It is an advanced block with possibility for anchors.

Relax and take a walk for a minute :)

By the way this text field is also formatable.

  • Bullet points
  • Hyperlinks
  • Tables...

Link to article block

This block doesn't support anchors but it shouldn't be a problem as it is most likely going to be used for an exit strategy.
