Norway Winter Expedition Cruise from Hamburg
Norway Winter Expedition Cruise from Hamburg
This two-week winter expedition cruise sails from Hamburg and along the coast of Norway via Denmark. We’ll head north across the Arctic Circle and into the Auroral Zone hoping to see the incredible spectacle of the Northern Lights. Along the way we’ll experience fjords, fishing villages, cultural city gems and rugged natural beauty.
Into a winter wonderland
Setting off from Hamburg, our first stop will be the port of Esbjerg where you can get a taste of Danish culture. The next day we’ll arrive at Lysefjord, one of Norway’s most picturesque locations and home to the famous Pulpit Rock. We’ll continue heading north to artistic Ålesund before crossing the Arctic Circle and witnessing the unmatched splendour of the Lofoten Islands.
An unforgettable experience
After setting foot on the North Cape we’ll turn back south and discover the ‘Arctic Capital’ Tromsø – we will previously have visited Alta, the “City of Northern Lights” – before exploring more of Lofoten. Sailing along the spectacular coast of Helgeland we’ll soon arrive at Loen, nestled beneath Mount Hoven. Our last port of call is beautiful Bergen before we sail back to where we started our voyage in Hamburg.
